![]() Stroke to Path suffers from a similar issue to the Firefox rendering (the context-stroke isn't handled well), if you change the marker's fill and/or stroke manually (or add the markers in 1.0), it still separates out properly. I can verify (from memory) that pre-1.0 Inkscape did separate the marker from the path with the Object to Path command. Stroke to Path works on SVG 1.1 markers in versions tested though. Additional wrote:įor Object to Path: Not sure, I did expect it to ignore the marker and didn't know it didn't at some point (it doesn't in 0.92.x or 0.92.2, Linux Mint 20)*. But the 'correct' way to give an object a Fill is to use the Fill & Stroke Dialogue (or the colour palette). Tangentially, Stroke to Path removes the marker. To Fill with a different colour, select one you like from the color palette at the bottom and then click to fill. This applies to all versions tested here. This creates a Group with the Markers converted to separate objects, which can be colored independently.Ĭonverting to path does nothing. Open the Object > Fill and Stroke window and set the fill color to light grey with the Fill RGBA values of 230, 230. Switching it to fill:black renders the marker in the same place as in Chromium/Safari.Īn alternative solution is to convert the path with the Markers to a path (Path → icon Object to Path (Shift+Ctrl+C)). fill:context-stroke (SVG2) is not used by Firefox. If you change the stroke to black, the rendering should match Inkscape. Inkscape Vector Illustrator.Inkscape is an open source drawing tool for creating and editing SVG graphics. ![]() Chromium/Safari (WebKit) handles fill:context-stroke but not stroke:context-stroke.N.B.: the arrowhead marker renders before the end of the stroke in Chromium and Safari and doesn't render at all in Firefox.
